Dunedin RSA Choir is proud to present on Friday November 7th, at 7.30pm in the Knox Church Dunedin:

From the stages of London, New York, Tokyo and Vienna, New Zealand’s very own Grammy award-winning operatic bass, Jonathan Lemalu.

Classical music lovers can hear a programme of operatic and contemporary songs with repertoire chosen and introduced by Jonathan.

This performance in his hometown of Dunedin, is a rare opportunity to hear this critically acclaimed artist, singing in the intimate venue of Knox Church 449 George St Dunedin .

Jonathan will be accompanied by Sandra Crawshaw/ piano, and David Burchell/ organ, as well as the Dunedin RSA choir where Jonathan’s father Foalima Lemalu, sings second Bass.  

The RSA choir, conduced by Karen Knudson, will sing music reflecting on Remembrance Day, and Peace in our time by Verdi, Dvorak, Holst, and Karl Jenkins.

Ralph Miller, principal trumpet in Dunedin Symphony Orchestra, will also perform, as well as young Dunedin tenor Jesse Hanan. Jesse is a year 3 student at the University of Otago, and an RSA choir scholar.  

The Concert will last approximately 2 hours, including a 15-minute interval.
